What does a Resume Review actually check?
It compares the candidate's resume against their own completed BGV form - checking that the latest employment (company, designation, dates) and highest education (degree, course, year, university) match, and that all required entries from the order summary are present.
Can a Resume Review be re-run if we disagree with the grading?
No. It's a one-time check - once graded, it's final and is never re-initiated, similar to a first investigation report.
Is providing more employment or education history than required a discrepancy?
No. A discrepancy only arises when required information is missing or inflated - not when a candidate includes additional roles, projects, or education beyond what's asked for.
If a candidate's resume shows a lower title than their BGV form, is that flagged?
No. A lower designation on the resume, or a different title at the same level, is graded Verified with a comment - only a higher, inflated designation on the resume is flagged as a discrepancy.
A company or university brand name differs from the official legal name - is that a discrepancy?
Not automatically. If the brand name is confirmed to refer to the same legal entity, it's graded Verified rather than treated as a mismatch.
Does Resume Review verify with the candidate's actual employer or university?
No - that's what Employment and Education Checks do. Resume Review only confirms the candidate's resume is internally consistent with their own BGV form; it doesn't contact any third party.
