How the TeamTailor Integration Works

Set it up once. After that, every candidate who reaches your chosen stage flows through on its own.

Tag the candidate
Add a bgv: tag with the package name, or pick the package in the BGV_PACKAGE custom field.

Move them to the trigger stage
Drag the candidate to the stage you set up, usually Hired. No other action is needed.

SpringVerify takes over
The hourly sync picks them up and creates the profile. The candidate gets an email with a link to complete the form.

Results return to TeamTailor
Status updates and the report link appear on the candidate profile as checks complete.

What You Need to Connect TeamTailor

Your admin sets this up once, in both products.
In TeamTailor
Create an API key under Settings, Integrations, API Keys with Admin scope. To see results on the candidate profile, also copy the Partner API key from the TeamTailor Integration Hub.
In SpringVerify
Open Integrations, choose TeamTailor and click Connect. Paste the keys, pick the trigger stage, set an optional country filter and choose how packages are assigned. Then turn on Push report.

What does the SpringVerify and TeamTailor integration do?

It starts background checks from TeamTailor. When a candidate reaches the stage you choose, SpringVerify creates their profile and emails them a form link. As checks complete, the status and report link are sent back to the candidate profile in TeamTailor.

How do I connect TeamTailor to SpringVerify?

Create an API key in TeamTailor under Settings, Integrations, API Keys with Admin scope. In the SpringVerify portal, open Integrations, choose TeamTailor and click Connect. Paste the key, choose the trigger stage and package source, and click Connect.

When does a background check start?

When a candidate is in the trigger stage you set, which can be Hired, In process or Inbox. SpringVerify syncs with TeamTailor every hour, so the candidate is picked up on the next run. Only candidates in that stage are synced.

How do I choose the package for a candidate?

Either add a tag in the format bgv: followed by the package name, for example bgv:standard, or select the package in the BGV_PACKAGE custom field. The name must match the package name shown in the SpringVerify portal. Assign it before moving the candidate to the trigger stage.

Can I run background checks only for candidates in India?

Yes. Set the country filter to India in the integration settings. Only candidates applying to jobs located in that country are synced. Leave the filter empty to include all countries.

What candidate data goes to SpringVerify?

The candidate name, email address, phone number and the package you assigned. The candidate then receives an email from SpringVerify and fills in the remaining details and documents, such as employment, education and address, on the verification form.

Where do I see the status and report in TeamTailor?

Open the candidate profile and scroll to the SpringVerify section, which shows the current status and a link to the report. This needs Push report switched on in the integration and the Partner API key from the TeamTailor Integration Hub. Interim updates can be turned on or off.

Is candidate data secure?

SpringVerify is certified with SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001, and aligned with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Data is encrypted and handled with explicit candidate consent.
