Hiring has always required trust. But trust, without verification, is just assumption.
Over the past few months, we have been listening — to our customers, to industry trends, and to the gaps that standard BGV leaves open. The result: 10 new verification checks, now live on the SpringVerify platform.
These are not add-ons. They are purpose-built checks designed to give HR teams, compliance officers, and hiring managers a sharper, more complete picture of every candidate and vendor they engage with.

The 10 New Checks
1. Face Match
Category: Identity Verification | TAT: Instant
Verifies candidate identity by matching a live photo against submitted ID documents using AI-powered facial recognition. Ideal for remote hiring where in-person identity checks are not possible.
2. Birth Certificate (QR Code Only)
Category: Document Verification | TAT: 0–2 Working Days
Validates the authenticity of a birth certificate by scanning and verifying its embedded QR code against issuing authority records — confirming the document is genuine and unaltered.
3. PAN to GST Check
Category: Business Verification | TAT: 0–2 Working Days
Cross-verifies a PAN number against GST records to confirm business registration and taxpayer authenticity. Particularly useful for vendor onboarding and contract staffing scenarios.
4. Medical Registration Certificate
Category: Professional License Check | TAT: 1–14 Working Days
Verifies a healthcare professional’s registration with the relevant medical council to confirm license validity and practice eligibility. Critical for hospitals, clinics, and healthcare staffing firms.
5. Company Comprehensive Check
Category: Company Verification | TAT: 0–2 Working Days
Verifies a company’s legal existence, registration status, financials, and directorship details — giving you a complete risk profile before entering into a business relationship.
6. Moonlighting Check
Category: Employment Integrity | TAT: 0–2 Working Days
Detects if a candidate is simultaneously employed with another organisation by cross-referencing PF records, professional profiles, and employment data. Especially relevant for remote and hybrid roles.
7. University Recognition Check
Category: Education Verification | TAT: 0–2 Working Days
Confirms whether the candidate’s university is recognised by UGC, AICTE, or AIU — validating that their degree comes from a legitimate, accredited institution.
8. Education Check (Preliminary)
Category: Education Verification | TAT: Instant
Runs OCR and AI analysis on the candidate’s latest uploaded education document. Checks for document tampering — pixelation, inconsistent fonts, altered seals, wrong document type — and verifies university accreditation and whether it offers the stated degree or specialization.
9. Company Existence Check
Category: Company Verification | TAT: 0–7 Working Days
Confirms whether the company is physically located at the stated address and currently operational — validating real-world presence and active business status via MCA/ROC records.
10. Criminal Record Check on Law Firm (CRCLF)
Category: Criminal Verification | TAT: 2 Working Days
A law firm attorney physically visits the candidate’s jurisdiction police station, reviews criminal records for the last 7 years, and delivers findings on the law firm’s official letterhead.
This is not a court database pull. CRCLF is designed for BFSI, banking, and high-trust blue-collar roles where clients need a deeper, ground-level criminal record check. (Note: CRCLF is not a replacement for PCC and should not be positioned as Police Verification.)
What This Means for Your BGV Process
Each of these checks adds a distinct layer of intelligence — whether that is confirming physical presence, detecting dual employment, or validating professional licences. Together, they allow your team to build a verification stack tailored to the specific risk profile of each role.
