What is Alumni Verification?
It's a self-service portal that lets other companies or background-check firms confirm whether someone worked at your organization - without your HR team manually answering each request over email. It's branded to your company and consent-gated by default.
How do we actually get paid for verification requests?
Each completed request credits ₹150 to your SpringVerify wallet, which is applied against your own background verification spend. You can also set an optional fee that requestors pay directly.
Does the requesting company need to be a SpringVerify customer?
No. Any company or background-check firm can submit a request through your branded portal, as long as they provide valid consent from the ex-employee.
How do we add our alumni to the portal?
Two ways: connect a supported HRMS like Keka or Darwinbox for automatic daily sync as employees exit, or bulk-upload an Excel list of relieved employees to get the portal live the same day.Does the candidate need to do anything?
Is this compliant with India's DPDP Act?
Yes. Under the DPDP Act, an ex-employee's personal data can't be shared without consent — and non-compliance carries penalties of up to ₹200 crore. Every request on the portal requires verified consent before any data is released.
We only get a request or two a month - is it still worth setting up?
